DigitalLife Campus goes to Singapore


On the 10th and 11th of November we continued our global hackathon series with the 2nd event in 2017– this time in Singapore. It is the first collaboration of DigitalLife Campus and Startup Autobahn Singapore hosting a Hackathon together, where ideas not only spark from students but also from Startups.

With DigitalLife hackathons we want to break routine by exploring sideways from the standard company structure allowing innovation to occur in an environment where pretty much everything is possible. Startup Autobahn Singapore is a corporate accelerator program powered by Mercedes-Benz. It is located in Block 71, where you find more than 200 startups and companies like google, Microsoft, IBM are also setting their footprint in as partners.

In the aim of looking for the innovative ideas and scouting to the young entrepreneurs, Hack.Singapore took place in Block 71 Singapore. With panel discussions, industry leader presentation, students and startup teams iterating their ideas for 48 hours, it has been an exciting Hackathon indeed.

Winning Teams


has tackled the problem of locating your car, no matter if it is indoor or outdoor, finding the easiest way to locate your car anywhere anytime and guide the passengers towards the vehicle safely.

Stay Woke

focused on creating plug and play solutions for automobiles that prevent the harm caused by its drivers’ drunkenness and sleepiness. Provide timely alert to the drivers in order to create safe driving environment.


using computer vision and machine learning technology to accurately determine if a driver is drowsy, and should they be drowsy, trigger a form of stimulation to wake the driver up to prevent from dangerous events. Sentient has also won the special prize from DigitalLife, they will be joining the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2018.

With DigitalLife@Daimler we bundle digitalization activities at Daimler to push and initiate digital transformation across all divisions at Daimler.

Our goal is to establish a new culture of innovation to combine the strenghts of Daimler with the strengths of startups: more founding spirit, more risk-taking and more speed. Therefore, events like hackathons are very important for us as we bring our digital interactions with students and professionals to the next level. In addition, it gives talented people insights into our company, while we benefit from external perspectives and innovative ideas.
